Mission
To translate our vision into action plans, the department shall undertake programs and projects for development of human resources, value education, and social needs. The department is committed to provide excellent academic ambiance and educational and library facility conducive for learning . To promote all round development of students through fostering skills and by organizing special classes for students interested in competitive exams particularly Civil Services exam, State services exam and NET exam. To organize regular annual conference of Chhattisgarh It has Parishad in different parts of Chhattisgarh to provide a platform for academicians, scholars and students to exchange their research and knowledge of various aspects of History, Culture and archaeology of Chhattisgarh .
The department of history prides itself as a student friendly department where students apart from regular courses are being guided for competitive exams as well. The endeavor has been well appreciated and successful with students being filtered and chosen at the very start of their graduation itself. The selected students are then well guided and helped in their efforts at preparing for these exams. As a result of these efforts the students have been able to clear various exams in the recent past such as the National Eligibility Test and Civil Services exam.
