Ragging Is Against the Law
Ragging is strictly prohibited in the college campus. Provision for Strict disciplinary action to be taken against students involved in ragging is provided Under this arrest, expulsion ban on appearing for university exam & monetary fine is a must. A/C to Hon'ble Supreme Court and UGC rules, it is mandatory for every student. to submit an anti-ragging affidavit at the time of admission in college. A/C to Honorable Supreme Court and U.G.C. Ragging is a punishable offense as per regulation 2009. Hence Ragging is strictly prohibited in the college & strict vigilance is mandatory to stop & avoid this nuisance.
Punishable rules of Ragging:
Abetment of ragging.
Criminal conspiracy of ragging.
Unlawful gathering & spreading rioting during ragging.
Creating Public nuisance.
Violation of morals and decency.
Causing Injury to body.
Wrongful confinement.
Use of criminal force.
Assault as well as sexual offences.
Extortion
Criminal trespass.
Causing loss of property.
Criminal intimidation.
Physical or Mental humiliation.
Attempts to commit any or all of the above mentioned offences against the victim.
The afore Mentioned offenses come in the circle of ragging. In case of ragging offense Rs. 5000.00 fine or 05 years imprisonment or immediate expulsion; come as punishment under this head.
